     John Wedderburn was born in 1657.1 He was the son of Sir Peter Wedderburn, Lord Glasford and Agnes Dickson.1 He died on 26 May 1688, drowned off Calais.1
     He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Scotland]1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 14th Dragoons.1

     Sir Peter Halkett of Pitferrane, 1st Bt. was born in 1660.1 He was the son of Sir Peter Wedderburn, Lord Glasford and Agnes Dickson.1 He married Janet Halkett, daughter of Sir Charles Halkett of Pitfirrane, 1st Bt. and Janet Murray, on 13 July 1694 at Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland.1,2 He died on 20 March 1746.1
     He was given the name of Peter Wedderburn of Gosford at birth.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Grenadier Guards.1 He was created 1st Baronet Halkett, of Pitferrane [Nova Scotia] on 31 December 1697.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Dunfermline [Scotland] between 1705 and 1707.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Dunfermline from 1707 to 1708.1
