     Walter Buchanan, 6th of Drumikill and Moss was born circa 1536.¹ He was the son of Thomas Buchanan, 4th of Drumikill and Moss.¹ He married Janet Buchanan, daughter of Walter Buchanan, 4th of Spittal.¹ He died before 30 October 1582.¹
