     Alan Cameron was born circa 1656.1 He was the son of Charles Cameron.1 He married Margaret Cameron, daughter of Donald Cameron, 1st of Glendessary and unknown daughter Campbell, in 1679.1 He died in 1689 at Killiecrankie, Blair Atholl, Perthshire, Scotland, killed in action.1
     He fought in the Battle of Killiecrankie in 1689.1
