     He was appointed Knight circa 1316.³ He fought in the Battle of Halidon Hill in 1333, where he was captured by the English.³ He was set free after swearing fealty to King Edward III.³

     Thomas Henry Charleton was born before 2 November 1828 at St. Saviour, Jersey, Channel Islands.¹ He married Penrose Durell Hammond, daughter of Jean Hammond and Jane Penrose le Breton, on 12 November 1855 at St. Saviour, Jersey, Channel Islands.¹ He married Georgiana Fanny Dent, daughter of Rear-Admiral Charles Calmady Dent and Lady Selina Arabella Lucy Hastings, on 18 April 1891 at Christ Church, East Greenwich, London, England.¹ He died in 1910 at Cricklade, Wiltshire, England.¹

     Penrose Durell Hammond was born in 1830 at Jersey, Channel Islands.¹ She was the daughter of Jean Hammond and Jane Penrose le Breton.¹ She married Thomas Henry Charleton on 12 November 1855 at St. Saviour, Jersey, Channel Islands.¹ She died in 1887 at Hastings, Sussex, England.¹
