     Harriet Harcourt married, firstly, William Cubitt, son of George Cubitt and Mary Finlay.1 She married, secondly, William Archer Shee, son of Sir Martin Archer Shee and Mary Power, in 1843.1
     Her married name became Cubitt.1 From 1843, her married name became Shee.1

     Sir Martin Archer Shee was born on 20 December 1769 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland. He was the son of Martin Shee and Mary Archer. He married Mary Power, daughter of James Power, on 19 December 1796 at Paddington Church, Paddington, London, England. He died on 19 August 1850 at age 80 at Brighton, Sussex, England.
     He was a portrait painter. He was president of the Royal Academy between 1830 and 1845.

     Colonel William George Cubitt, V.C. was born on 19 October 1835.1 He was the son of William Cubitt and Harriet Harcourt.1 He married Charlotte Isabella Hills, daughter of James Hills, on 19 May 1863.1 He died on 28 January 1903 at age 67.1
     He fought in the Southall Rebellion in 1855.1 He fought in the Indian Muitny in 1857.1 He was awarded the Victoria Cross (V.C.) in 1857.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1858 in the 16th Bengal Native Infantry.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1865.1 He gained the rank of Major in 1873.1 He fought in the Duffla Expedition between 1874 and 1875.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1879.1 He fought in the Afghan War in 1880.1 He fought in the Akha Expedition between 1883 and 1884.1 He fought in the Burma War between 1886 and 1887.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1887.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the 43rd Gurkhas.1
