     Admiral of the Fleet Sir Arthur Knyvet Wilson, 3rd Bt., V.C. was born on 4 March 1842 at Norfolk, England.1 He was the son of Rear-Admiral George Knyvet Wilson and Agnes Mary Yonge.1 He died on 25 May 1921 at age 79 at Beach Cottage, Swaffham, Norfolk, England, unmarried.1
     He gained the title of 3rd Baronet Wilson. He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1906.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Royal Victorian Order (G.C.V.O.) in 1906.1 He gained the rank of Admiral of the Fleet in March 1907.1 He held the office of First Sea Lord between 1910 and 1911.1 He was awarded the Order of Merit (O.M.) in 1912.1 He was awarded the Victoria Cross (V.C.)2
