     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Navy.1

     Ruth S. Sonin was born in 1923.1 She is the daughter of Albert Sonin.1 She married Anthony Seaton Findlater, son of Seaton McCurdy Findlater and Dorothy Brierley, in March 1946 at Kensington Register Office, Kensington, London, England.1
     She was also known as Carole.1 She was with the Women's Auxiliary Air Force during the Second World War.1 From March 1946, her married name became Findlater.1
