     Maj.-Gen. William Carnegie was born on 31 August 1803.¹ He was the son of Patrick Carnegie of Lour and Margaret St. Clair Bower.¹ He married Isabella Newton, daughter of Edward Newton, on 16 September 1830.¹ He died on 7 May 1880 at age 76, without issue.¹
     He gained the rank of Major-General in the Honourable East India Company Service.¹

     Isabella Newton is the daughter of Edward Newton.¹ She married Maj.-Gen. William Carnegie, son of Patrick Carnegie of Lour and Margaret St. Clair Bower, on 16 September 1830.¹
     From 16 September 1830, her married name became Carnegie.¹

     Charles Carnegie was born on 8 January 1808.¹ He was the son of Patrick Carnegie of Lour and Margaret St. Clair Bower.¹ He married Sophia Bell, daughter of Thomas Bell, on 27 April 1837.¹ He died on 22 March 1874 at age 66.¹
     He was with the Honourable East India Company Naval Service.¹

     Sophia Bell is the daughter of Thomas Bell.¹ She married Charles Carnegie, son of Patrick Carnegie of Lour and Margaret St. Clair Bower, on 27 April 1837.¹
     From 27 April 1837, her married name became Carnegie.¹

     Patrick Thomas Carnegie was born on 12 June 1838.¹ He was the son of Charles Carnegie and Sophia Bell.¹ He died on 21 January 1878 at age 39, unmarried.¹
     He was District Commissioner of Assam.¹

     Charles William Carnegie was born on 31 July 1839.¹ He was the son of Charles Carnegie and Sophia Bell.¹ He married Margaret Smith, daughter of Alexander Smith, on 21 September 1880.¹ He died on 9 April 1905 at age 65, without issue.¹

     Margaret Smith is the daughter of Alexander Smith.¹ She married Charles William Carnegie, son of Charles Carnegie and Sophia Bell, on 21 September 1880.¹
     From 21 September 1880, her married name became Carnegie.¹
