     William Gore was born circa 1675.2 He was the son of Sir William Gore and Elizabeth Hampton.2 He married Lady Mary Compton, daughter of George Compton, 4th Earl of Northampton and Jane Fox.1 He died on 22 October 1739.2
     He lived at Tring Park, Hertfordshire, England.1 He was director of the Bank of England between 1709 and 1712.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Colchester between 1711 and 1713.2 He was director of the South Sea Company between 1712 and 1715.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Cricklade from 1713 to 1714.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Colchester from 1714 to 1715.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for St. Albans between 1722 and 1727.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Cricklade between 1734 and 1739.2
