     Sir Edward Leigh was born on 24 March 1602.² He was the son of Sir Henry Leigh and Ruth Hampden.² He married Elizabeth Talbot, daughter of Thomas Talbot and Catherine Paston, in 1628.¹ He died on 2 June 1671 at age 69.¹
     He was admitted to Middle Temple entitled to practise as a barrister-at-law.² He wrote the book The Treatise on Divine Promises.² He graduated from Magdalen Hall, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1623 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Staffordshire between 1645 and 1648.² He purchased Iver, Buckinghamshire in 1648.²

     Elizabeth Talbot was the daughter of Thomas Talbot and Catherine Paston.^1,2 She married Sir Edward Leigh, son of Sir Henry Leigh and Ruth Hampden, in 1628.¹ She died in 1707.²
     From 1628, her married name became Leigh.¹

     Thomas Talbot married Catherine Paston.²
     He lived at Worfield, Shropshire, England.²
