     Admiral Sir Thomas Briggs was born in 1780 at Southampton, Hampshire, England.1 He was the son of Stephen Briggs and Magdalen Pasley.1 He was baptised on 17 March 1780 at All Saints, Southampton, Hampshire, England.1 He married Isabella Harriet Trepaud on 27 January 1814 at Fort St. George, Madras, India.1 He died on 16 December 1852 at Portsmouth, Hampshire, England.1
     He was Resident Commissioner of the Royal Naval Dockyard between 1823 and 1829 at Bermuda.1 He was Resident Commissioner of the Royal Naval Dockyard between 1829 and 1832 at Malta.1 He was Superintendent of the Royal Naval Dockyard, Malta between 1832 and 1838.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of St. Michael and St. George (G.C.M.G.)1 He was Commander-in-Chief of the Portsmouth between 1851 and 1852.1

     Isabella Harriet Trepaud was born circa 1795.1 She married Admiral Sir Thomas Briggs, son of Stephen Briggs and Magdalen Pasley, on 27 January 1814 at Fort St. George, Madras, India.1 She died on 5 December 1848 at 63 Pall Mall, Westminster, London, England.1
     From 27 January 1814, her married name became Briggs.1
