David Robert Hall was born on 28 March 1922.1 He was the son of David Percy Hall and Frances Iris Campart Dobbyn.2 He married Mary Beatrice Deborah Penrose, daughter of Edward A. Penrose, on 28 September 1949.1 He died in June 2002 at age 80 at Somerset, England.3
He was educated at Canford School, Wimborne, Dorset, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Queen's University, Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Artillery.1 He was a milling engineer with Odium Mills.1
