William Pike Grubb was born on 23 May 1850.1 He was the son of Richard Grubb and Maria Louisa Garratt.1 He married Ethel Elizabeth Buchanan, daughter of Colonel Lewis Mansergh Buchanan, on 27 January 1889.1 He died on 23 March 1925 at age 74.1
