     Robert Going McClintock Grubb was born on 9 August 1906 at Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.^1,2 He was the son of Frederick Ernest Grubb and Hilda Margaret McClintock.^3,1 He married, firstly, Dorothy Herrington in 1933.¹ He and Dorothy Herrington were divorced in 1954.¹ He married, secondly, Toni Elizabeth Kendall in 1955.¹ He died on 19 November 1994 at age 88 at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital, Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada.²
     He was educated in England and the U.S.A.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force.¹ He lived at 103 Ashlar Avenue, Nanaimo, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.¹
