     John William Prichard Laird was born in 1874 at Birkenhead, Cheshire, England.¹ He was the son of William Laird and Anne Jane Prichard.¹ He married Marianne Brownell, daughter of George Brownell and Edith Helen Brown, in 1903.¹ He died in 1946.¹
