Giles de Badlesmere, 2nd Lord Badlesmere was born on 18 October 1314 at Hambleton, Rutland, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Bartholomew de Badlesmere, 1st Lord Badlesmere and Margaret de Clare.1 He was baptised at St. Andrew's Church, Hambleton, Rutland, EnglandG.1 He married Lady Elizabeth Montagu, daughter of William Montagu, 1st Earl of Salisbury and Catherine Grandison, after February 1327/28.2 He died on 7 June 1338 at age 23, without issue.1,3 His will (dated 4 December 1337) was proven (by probate) on 20 June 1338 at Lincoln, Lincolnshire, EnglandG.3
In November 1328 he obtained the reversal of his father's attainder.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Lord Badlesmere [E., 1309] in November 1328.1 On his death, his Barony fell into abeyance.2
