     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Greenock between 1833 and 1845.¹ He lived at Jamaica.¹

     Jonkheer Cornelis Dedel was born on 6 December 1894 at Amsterdam, The Netherlands.¹ He was the son of Jonkheer Willem Gerrit Dedel and Hester Wilhemina van Lennep.¹ Cornelis and Anna Maria were also married in a religious ceremony on 2 July 1935 at The Hague, The Netherlands.¹ He died on 7 December 1981 at age 87 at Baarn, The Netherlands.¹

     Mary Hindmarsh is the daughter of Rear-Admiral Sir John Hindmarsh and Susannah Wilson Edmeades. She married George Milner Stephen in July 1840.
