Sir Baldwin Wake, 5th Bt. was baptised on 19 June 1665.1 He was the son of Sir William Wake, 3rd Bt. and Diana Drury.2 He married, firstly, Anne Derham, daughter of Elizabeth Read, circa 10 July 1686.1 He and Mary Hart obtained a marriage license on 24 June 1697.1 He died in 1747.1
He was allegedly pardoned for killing his elder brother William (but one of the Wake baronets is said to have killed in anger not a brother but a son, the blame being taken by a younger son who fled abroad until the father confessed on his deathbed, so it is possible that William was killed accidentally by their faither, the 3rd Baronet.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Wake, of Clevedon, Somerset and Piddington, co. Northampton [E., 1621] in 1714.1 He lived at Fritwell, Oxfordshire, England.1

His name was legally changed to Charles Wake-Jones under terms of will of his uncle Charles Wake-Jones.1 He was given the name of Charles Wake at birth.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Wake, of Clevedon, Somerset and Piddington, co.
