James Stewart Tupper was born on 29 October 1851.1 He was the son of Sir Charles Tupper, 1st Bt. and Frances Amelia Morse.2 He married, firstly, Mary Wilson Robertson, daughter of Andrew Robertson, on 8 September 1875.1 He married, secondly, Ada Campbell Galt, daughter of Hon. Sir Thomas Galt, on 9 June 1880.1 He died on 29 April 1915 at age 63.1
He graduated from McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was admitted to barrister [Canada] in 1875.1 He was appointed Queen's Counsel (Q.C.) [Canada] in 1890.1 He held the office of Bencher of the Law Society of Manitoba between 1900 and 1906.1 He held the office of Treasurer of the Law Society of Manitoba between 1906 and 1910.1 He held the office of President of the Law Society of Manitoba between 1910 and 1913.1

Sir Charles Stewart Tupper, 2nd Bt. was born on 8 August 1884.1 He was the son of James Stewart Tupper and Ada Campbell Galt.2 He married Margaret Peters Morse, daughter of Charles Morse, on 17 December 1910.1 He died on 16 July 1960 at age 75.1
He graduated from McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in 1905 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was admitted to barrister [Manitoba] in 1908.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 43rd Battalion, Cameron Highlanders, Canada.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Tupper, of Armdale, Halifax, Nova Scotia [U.K., 1888] on 30 October 1915.1 He was appointed King's Counsel (K.C.) in 1928.1
