Lawrence Lionel Tollemache was born in 1894.1 He was the son of Hon. Ranulph Carteret Tollemache and Annie Mary Smith.2 He married Violet Mary A'deane, daughter of John Robert Bayly A'deane, on 6 January 1926.1 He died on 14 June 1954.1
He fought in the First World War. He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he became a Japanase POW 1941-1945.1

Violet Mary A'deane is the daughter of John Robert Bayly A'deane.2 She married, firstly, Lawrence Lionel Tollemache, son of Hon. Ranulph Carteret Tollemache and Annie Mary Smith, on 6 January 1926.1 She married, secondly, Laurence Reid in 1956.
