Bentley Lyonel John Tollemache, 3rd Baron Tollemache of Helmingham was born on 7 March 1883.1 He was the son of Hon. Lyonel Plantagenet Tollemache and Lady Blanche Sybil King.2 He married, firstly, Wynford Rose Kemball, daughter of General Sir Arnold Burrowes Kemball and Anna Frances Shaw, on 17 January 1902.1 He married, secondly, Lynette Pawson, daughter of Alfred Vincent Pawson, on 23 October 1928.1 He died on 13 January 1955 at age 71.1
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Temporary Lieutenant in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.1 He fought in the Boer War in 1902.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 3rd Battalion, Cheshire Regiment.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 3rd Battalion, King's Own Scottish Borderers.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Tollemache of Helmingham, co.
