Major Claude Frederick Thornton was the son of Captain Edward Brooke Thornton.2 He married Eva Winifred Hilda Thurlow, daughter of Lt.-Col. Hugh Hovell Thurlow and Winifred Beatrice Parlby, on 3 February 1907.1 He died on 23 February 1949.1

Major Frank William Daniell was born on 16 March 1868 at Jaunpore, Bengal, India.1 He was the son of Clarmont John Daniell and Fanny Louisa Prinsep.1 He was baptised on 12 April 1868 at Jaunpore, Bengal, India.1 He died on 29 January 1955 at age 86.1
He was educated in 1882 at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1902.1 He retired from the military in 1906, with the rank of Major, late of the 8th Bengal Lancers.1 He fought in the First World War, and was mentioned in despatches.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) on 1 January 1918.1
