     Peter Munro Sutherland was born on 17 August 1924.¹ He was the son of Arthur Munro Sutherland and Nina Marguerite Crawshay Wimble.² He died on 31 July 1944 at age 19, killed on active service.¹
     He was educated at Stowe School, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Flying Officer in the Royal Air Force.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹

     Nina Marguerite Munro Sutherland was born on 19 May 1923.¹ She is the daughter of Arthur Munro Sutherland and Nina Marguerite Crawshay Wimble.² She married James Keith Whittenbury Slater, son of Sir William Kershaw Slater, on 9 July 1949.¹
     From 9 July 1949, her married name became Slater. She lived in 2003 at The Mill Cottage, Eglingham, Northumberland, England.¹

     Sir William Kershaw Slater was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)¹ He graduated with a Doctor of Science (D.Sc.)¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.)¹

     James Keith Whittenbury Slater was the son of Sir William Kershaw Slater.² He married Nina Marguerite Munro Sutherland, daughter of Arthur Munro Sutherland and Nina Marguerite Crawshay Wimble, on 9 July 1949.¹ He died on 20 July 1968.¹
     He graduated with a Master of Science (M.Sc.)¹
