     John Stafford, 1st Earl of Wiltshire was born on 24 November 1420.¹ He was the son of Humphrey Stafford, 1st Duke of Buckingham and Lady Anne Neville.² He married Constance Green, daughter of Henry Green, circa 1458.¹ He died on 8 May 1473 at age 52.¹
     He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) in 1461.¹ He fought in the Battle of Hexham on 15 May 1464.¹ He held the office of Steward of the Duchy of Cornwal in 1469, for life.¹ He was created 1st Earl of Wiltshire [England] on 5 January 1469/70.¹ He held the office of Chief Butler of England in 1471.¹ He was appointed Knight, Order of the Garter (K.G.) in 1472.¹

     Constance Green is the daughter of Henry Green.¹ She married John Stafford, 1st Earl of Wiltshire, son of Humphrey Stafford, 1st Duke of Buckingham and Lady Anne Neville, circa 1458.¹
     From circa 1458, her married name became Stafford.

     Edward Stafford, 2nd Earl of Wiltshire was born on 7 April 1470.¹ He was the son of John Stafford, 1st Earl of Wiltshire and Constance Green.² He married Muriel Grey, daughter of Edward Grey, 1st Viscount Lisle, circa 3 July 1494.¹ He died on 24 March 1498/99 at age 28, without issue.¹
     He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Wiltshire [E., 1470] on 8 May 1473.¹ He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) in 1475.¹ On his death, his earldom became extinct.¹

     Walter de Ridware married Helen Fitzherbert, daughter of Sir William Fitzherbert and unknown wife (?).¹
