     Joan Elizabeth Goodall was the daughter of Reginald Goodall.² She married William George Michael Spens, 2nd Baron Spens, son of William Patrick Spens, 1st Baron Spens and Hilda Mary Bowyer, on 30 June 1941.¹ She died on 3 December 1994.¹
     From 30 June 1941, her married name became Spens. After her marriage, Joan Elizabeth Goodall was styled as Baroness Spens on 15 November 1973.

     Patrick Michael Rex Spens, 3rd Baron Spens was born on 22 July 1942.² He is the son of William George Michael Spens, 2nd Baron Spens and Joan Elizabeth Goodall.² He married Barbara Janet Lindsay Fisher, daughter of Rear-Admiral Ralph Lindsay Fisher, on 12 March 1966.² He died on 5 January 2001 at age 58.²
     He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.² He graduated from Corpus Christi College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1964 with a Cambridge Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)² He was appointed Fellow, Institute of Chartered Accountants (F.C.A.) in 1967.² He was director of Morgan Grenfell between 1972 and 1982.² He was managing director of Henry Ansbacher between 1983 and 1987.² He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Spens, of Blairnsanquhar, co. Fife [U.K., 1959] on 19 November 1984.¹ He was proprietor of Patrick Spens & Co, Chartered Accountants.²

     Hon. William David Ralph Spens was born on 23 November 1943.¹ He is the son of William George Michael Spens, 2nd Baron Spens and Joan Elizabeth Goodall.² He married Gillian Mary Jowett, daughter of Albert Edwin Jowett, on 25 November 1967.¹
     He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.¹ He graduated from Corpus Christi College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1966 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1972 entitled to practise as a barrister.¹ He lived in 2003 at Marsh Mills Cottage, Over Stowey, Somerset, England.¹

     Albert Edwin Jowett was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Surgeons (F.R.C.S.)¹ He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)¹

     Gillian Mary Jowett is the daughter of Albert Edwin Jowett.² She married Hon. William David Ralph Spens, son of William George Michael Spens, 2nd Baron Spens and Joan Elizabeth Goodall, on 25 November 1967.¹
     From 25 November 1967, her married name became Spens.

     James Michael William Spens was born on 15 December 1969.¹ He is the son of Hon. William David Ralph Spens and Gillian Mary Jowett.²

     Tamsin Caroline Spens was born on 4 June 1971.¹ She is the daughter of Hon. William David Ralph Spens and Gillian Mary Jowett.²

     Hon. Mallowry Ann Spens was born on 30 September 1949.¹ She is the daughter of William George Michael Spens, 2nd Baron Spens and Joan Elizabeth Goodall.²

     Hon. Robert Richard Patrick Spens was born on 1 February 1916.¹ He was the son of William Patrick Spens, 1st Baron Spens and Hilda Mary Bowyer.² He married Elizabeth Clare Leach, daughter of George Catterall Leach, on 2 September 1939.¹ He died on 15 February 1942 at age 26, on active service.¹
     He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.¹ He was educated at Wye College, London University, London, England^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War, in France and North Africa.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1940.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Norfolk Yeomanry.¹

     Elizabeth Clare Leach was the daughter of George Catterall Leach.¹ She married, firstly, Hon. Robert Richard Patrick Spens, son of William Patrick Spens, 1st Baron Spens and Hilda Mary Bowyer, on 2 September 1939.¹ She married, secondly, Francis David Corbin on 7 June 1955.¹ She died in 1990.¹
     From 2 September 1939, her married name became Spens. From 7 June 1955, her married name became Corbin.¹
