     Dorothy Catherine Bower is the daughter of Captain Thomas Bowyer Bower.² She married Sir Alexander Young Spearman, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Joseph Layton Elmes Spearman, 2nd Bt. and Ethel Leask, on 25 October 1909.¹

     Sir Alexander Bowyer Spearman, 4th Bt. was born on 15 February 1917.¹ He was the son of Sir Alexander Young Spearman, 3rd Bt. and Dorothy Catherine Bower.² He married Martha Green, daughter of John Green, on 10 April 1950.¹ He died on 17 May 1977 at age 60.¹
     He was educated at Westminster School, Westminster, London, England.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Staff Captain between 1941 and 1943 in the 10th Battalion, 7th Rajputs.¹ He gained the rank of Staff Captain between 1943 and 1945 in the Palforce.¹ He was with Union Guarantee and Insurance between 1955 and 1958 at Cape Town, Cape Province, South Africa.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Spearman [U.K., 1840] on 11 February 1959.¹ He was director of Jack Ginsburg (Pty) between 1960 and 1967.¹ He was director of Delta Insurance Brokers (Pty) between 1967 and 1977 at Cape Town, Cape Province, South Africa.¹

     John Green lived at Naauwpoort, South Africa.¹

     Martha Green is the daughter of John Green.² She married Sir Alexander Bowyer Spearman, 4th Bt., son of Sir Alexander Young Spearman, 3rd Bt. and Dorothy Catherine Bower, on 10 April 1950.¹
