     Sir Ernest Sleight, 2nd Bt. was born on 14 October 1873.¹ He is the son of Sir George Frederick Sleight, 1st Bt. and Rebecca Longden.² He married Margaret Carter, daughter of Charles Frederick Carter, on 5 October 1898.¹ He died on 16 July 1946 at age 72.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the 5th Battalion, Lincoln Regiment (TA.)¹ He was member of the Military Service (Hardship) Committee.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Sleight, of Weelsby Hall, co. Lincoln [U.K., 1920] on 19 March 1921.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lincolnshire.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Lincolnshire.¹ He was director of Fishing Vessels Mutual War Risk Association Ltd.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Lincolnshire in 1946.¹

     Major Rowland Sleight was born on 18 March 1877.¹ He was the son of Sir George Frederick Sleight, 1st Bt. and Rebecca Longden.² He married Phoebe Lambert Smethurst, daughter of Henry Smethurst, on 1 November 1906.¹ He died on 13 May 1947 at age 70.¹
     He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.¹ He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902.¹ He fought in the officer, Lincolnshire Yeomanry.¹ He gained the rank of Major.¹ He gained the rank of officer in the Queensland Defence FOrce.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹
