Jan David Simon, 3rd Viscount Simon was born on 20 July 1940.1 He was the son of John Gilbert Simon, 2nd Viscount Simon and Christie Hunt.2 He married Mary Elizabeth Burns, daughter of John Joseph Burns, on 26 April 1969.1 He died on 15 August 2021 at age 81.3
He was educated at Westminster School, Westminster, London, England.2 He was educated at Southampton School of Navigation, Southampton, Hampshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Sydney Technical College, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Simon, of Stackpole Elidor, co. Pembroke [U.K., 1940] in 1993.2 He held the office of Deputy Speaker, House of Lords in 1999.1 He held the office of Elected Representative, House of Lords in 1999.1 On his death, his title became extinct.3
