     Helen Hamilton was the daughter of General Richard Hamilton.² She married Sir Bruce Maxwell Seton of Abercorn, 8th Bt., son of Sir Charles Hay Seton of Abercorn, 7th Bt. and Caroline Hodges, on 30 January 1886.¹ She died on 18 July 1922.¹
     From 30 January 1886, her married name became Seton.

     Colonel Bruce Seton was born on 25 June 1799.¹ He was the son of Sir Alexander Seton of Abercorn, 5th Bt. and Lydia Blunt.² He married, firstly, Jane Elphinstone, daughter of John Elphinstone of Glack and Maria Prudence Robertson, on 17 June 1825.³ He married, secondly, Emma Orton, daughter of James Orton, in 1839.¹ He died on 27 November 1876 at age 77.²
     He was Colonel in the Honourable East India Company Service.¹

     Cornelius van Lennep was born on 26 November 1823 at Amsterdam, The Netherlands.¹ He married Sophia Wilhelmina Teding van Berkhout on 10 August 1854 at Haarlem, The Netherlands.¹ He died on 2 July 1874 at age 50 at Zandvoort, The Netherlands.¹

     Emma Orton was the daughter of James Orton. She married Colonel Bruce Seton, son of Sir Alexander Seton of Abercorn, 5th Bt. and Lydia Blunt, in 1839.¹ She died on 25 September 1889.¹
     From 1839, her married name became Seton.

     Lt.-Col. Alexander Reginald Seton was born on 25 May 1840.¹ He was the son of Colonel Bruce Seton and Emma Orton.² He married Emma Elizabeth Loch, daughter of Lt.-Col. William Loch, on 18 September 1862.¹ He died on 12 November 1887 at age 47.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Engineers.¹

     Lt.-Col. William Loch gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 1st Bombay Lancers.¹

     Emma Elizabeth Loch is the daughter of Lt.-Col. William Loch.² She married Lt.-Col. Alexander Reginald Seton, son of Colonel Bruce Seton and Emma Orton, on 18 September 1862.¹
     From 18 September 1862, her married name became Seton.

     Sir Bruce Gordon Seton of Abercorn, 9th Bt. was born on 13 October 1868.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Alexander Reginald Seton and Emma Elizabeth Loch.² He married Elma Armstrong, daughter of Lt.-Col. Frank Hugh Armstrong, on 18 March 1895.¹ He died on 3 July 1932 at age 63.¹
     He gained the rank of Brevet Colonel in the Indian Medical Service.¹ He fought in the North-West Frontier in 1894, where he was severely.¹ He fought in the Tochi Valley Campaign in 1897.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in dispatches.¹ He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Seton, of Abercorn, co. Linlithgow [N.S., 1663] on 12 March 1915.¹ He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms as ‘Seton of Abercorn', and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court ‘Seton of Abercorn' on 20 April 1915.¹

     Lt.-Col. Frank Hugh Armstrong gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Army Service Corps.¹

     Elma Armstrong was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Frank Hugh Armstrong.² She married Sir Bruce Gordon Seton of Abercorn, 9th Bt., son of Lt.-Col. Alexander Reginald Seton and Emma Elizabeth Loch, on 18 March 1895.¹ She died on 24 November 1960.¹
     From 18 March 1895, her married name became Seton.
