Sir Francis William Stronge was born on 22 November 1856.2 He is the son of Sir John Calvert Stronge, 4th Bt. and Lady Margaret Zoe Caulfeild.2 He married Maria Elizabeth Florence Fraser, daughter of General Hon. Sir David Macdowall Fraser and Mary Georgina Bell, on 10 November 1909.2 He died on 20 August 1924 at age 67.2
He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.)2 He held the office of Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to Chile between 1913 and 1919.2

Catherine Frances Graham Fraser was the daughter of General Hon. Sir David Macdowall Fraser and Mary Georgina Bell.2 She married Arthur Blackett Warwick Bampfylde, 5th Baron Poltimore, son of Coplestone Richard George Warwick Bampfylde, 3rd Baron Poltimore and Hon. Margaret Harriet Beaumont, on 28 November 1916.1 She died on 9 April 1938, without issue.1
