William Ford was born on 29 November 1821.1 He was the son of Sir Francis Ford, 2nd Bt. and Eliza Brady.2 He married Catherine Margaret Hodgson, daughter of Maj.-Gen. John Anthony Hodgson, on 27 October 1845.1 He died on 18 June 1905 at age 83.1
