George Gordon, 2nd of Cairnborrow was born circa 1490.2 He was the son of James Gordon, 1st of Cairnborrow and unknown daughter Cunningham.2 He married Katharine Gordon, daughter of Alexander Gordon of Drumin and Christian Logan.2 He died on 10 September 1547 at Pinkie, Midlothian, Scotland, killed in action.2
