Major Leonard Darwin was born on 15 January 1850 at Downe House, Downe, Kent, England.1 He was the son of Charles Robert Darwin and Emma Wedgwood.1 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Frances Fraser on 11 July 1882 at Kingston-on-Thames, Surrey, England.1 He married, secondly, Charlotte Mildred Massingberd, daughter of Edmund Langton and Emily Caroline Langton Massingberd, in 1900 at Kensington, London, England.1 He died on 26 March 1943 at age 93.1
