     Thomas Jerome Royden was born on 16 October 1913.¹ He was the son of Sir Ernest Bland Royden, 3rd Bt. and Rachel Mary Smith.² He married, firstly, Catherine Mary Denton Toosey, daughter of Charles Denton Toosey, on 8 September 1937.¹ He married, secondly, Lynn Aspinwall, daughter of Lloyd Aspinwall, Jr., on 14 November 1970.¹ He died in 1991.¹
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.² He was educated at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹ He was British Minister of War Transport, New York between 1941 and 1945.¹ He was director of Phoenix Assurance, New York.²

     Charles Denton Toosey lived at Oxton, Birkenhead, England.¹

     Catherine Mary Denton Toosey was the daughter of Charles Denton Toosey.² She married Thomas Jerome Royden, son of Sir Ernest Bland Royden, 3rd Bt. and Rachel Mary Smith, on 8 September 1937.¹ She died on 9 March 1970.¹
