Sir Robert Clinton Ropner, 5th Bt. was born on 6 February 1949.1 He is the son of Sir Robert Douglas Ropner, 4th Bt. and Patricia Kathleen Schofield.2 He married Diana Felicia Abbott, daughter of F/Lt. Arthur H. Abbott and Eileen M. A. Agard-Butler, in 1978.1
He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.1 He was educated at Aiglon College, Chesières-Villars, Switzerland.3 He lived in 2003 at 11 Devonshire Square, London, England.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Ropner, of Preston Hall, co. Durham [U.K., 1904] on 12 January 2004.
