     Colonel Henry Stratton Bates was the son of Reverend J. Ellison Bates.² He married Frances Henrietta Rivett-Carnac, daughter of Sir John Rivett-Carnac, 2nd Bt. and Anne Jane Sproule, on 18 January 1866.¹ He died on 6 May 1918.¹
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the 3rd Battalion, Yorkshire Regiment.¹

     Caroline Ann Emma Rivett-Carnac was the daughter of Sir John Rivett-Carnac, 2nd Bt. and Anne Jane Sproule.² She married Maj.-Gen. John Pennock Campbell on 21 January 1875.¹ She died on 4 July 1921.¹
     From 21 January 1875, her married name became Campbell.

     Maj.-Gen. John Pennock Campbell married Caroline Ann Emma Rivett-Carnac, daughter of Sir John Rivett-Carnac, 2nd Bt. and Anne Jane Sproule, on 21 January 1875.¹ He died on 25 December 1903.¹
     He gained the rank of Major-General in the East Lancashire Regiment.¹

     William John Rivett-Carnac was born on 19 April 1822.¹ He was the son of Sir James Rivett-Carnac, 1st Bt. and Anna Maria Richardes.² He married Mary Anstruther Wilkinson, daughter of Reverend Percival Spearman Wilkinson, in September 1846.¹ He died on 9 July 1874 at age 52.¹
     He was in the Honourable East India Company Service.¹

     Reverend Percival Spearman Wilkinson was the son of Thomas Wilkinson. He married Sophia Mary Anstruther. He died on 20 July 1875.²
     He lived at Mount Oswald, County Durham, England.³

     Mary Anstruther Wilkinson was the daughter of Reverend Percival Spearman Wilkinson.² She married William John Rivett-Carnac, son of Sir James Rivett-Carnac, 1st Bt. and Anna Maria Richardes, in September 1846.¹ She died on 17 February 1911.¹
     From September 1846, her married name became Rivett-Carnac.

     Francis Charles Forbes was with the Bengal Civil Service.¹

     Frances Maria Forbes was the daughter of Francis Charles Forbes.² She married Sir William Percival Rivett-Carnac, 5th Bt., son of William John Rivett-Carnac and Mary Anstruther Wilkinson, on 28 April 1885.¹ She died on 7 February 1935.¹
     From 28 April 1885, her married name became Rivett-Carnac.

     Mary Frances Rivett-Carnac was the daughter of Sir William Percival Rivett-Carnac, 5th Bt. and Frances Maria Forbes.² She died on 1 January 1951, unmarried.¹
