Major Arthur Rowland Mosley was born on 8 May 1862 at Egginton, Derbyshire, England.1 He was the son of Reverend Rowland Mosley and Jane Charlotte Rose Every.1 He married Henrietta Bolden, daughter of Henry Bolden and Robina Wedderburn Campion, on 16 October 1899 at Paddington, London, England.1 He died on 20 March 1923 at age 60 at Branston House, Derbyshire, England.1

Sir Edward Mosley, 1st Bt. was baptised in September 1616. He was the son of Rowland Mosley and Anne Sutton.2 He married Mary Cutler, daughter of Sir Gervase Cutler and Elizabeth Bentley, on 15 November 1636.1 He died circa 1 December 1657.1 He was buried on 4 December 1657.1
He was created 1st Baronet Mosley [England] on 20 July 1640.1 A royalist during the Civil War.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Staffordshire in 1642.1 In March 1642/43 he was captured by Parliamentary forces at Middlewich, Cheshire, and subsequently fined £4,200 plus an annual payment of £64.1 In 1647 he paid a further fine of £4,874 to get repossession of his estates.1 In January 1647/48 he was acquitted of rape.1 He lived at Rolleston, Staffordshire, England.1 He lived at Manchester, Lancashire, England.1
