Sir William Hannay Raeburn, 1st Bt. was born on 11 August 1850.1 He was the son of William Raeburn and Grace Hannay.2 He married, firstly, Sarah Manifold, daughter of John Thorburrow Manifold, on 28 September 1876.1 He married, secondly, Ellinor Martha Weir, daughter of Reverend Archibald Weir, on 8 February 1888.1 He married, thirdly, Olga Lucia Yates, daughter of Walter Peel Yates, on 5 June 1917.1 He died on 12 February 1934 at age 83.1
He was president of the U.K. Chamber of Shipping between 1916 and 1918.1 He was the head of Raeburn and Vérel Limited (shipowners) at Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.1 He was appointed Knight Bachelor in 1918.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Dunbartonshire between 1918 and 1923.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Glasgow and Dunbartonshire.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He was a trustee for the National Galleries of Scotland between 1922 and 1928.1 He was created 1st Baronet Raeburn, of Helensburgh, co. Anthony Hannay Raeburn was born in 1853.1 He was the son of William Raeburn and Grace Hannay.2 He married Fanny Stuart Robertson, daughter of Kenneth Bruce Stuart Robertson, on 19 October 1886.1 He died on 6 November 1924, leaving issue.1
