Sir Chinubhai Madhowlal Ranchhodlal, 1st Bt. was born on 26 May 1864.1 He was the son of Madhowlal Ranchhodlal and Revabai Hiralal.2 He married, firstly, Devalaxmi Sarabhai, daughter of Surajram Sarabhai, on 17 February 1876.1 He married, secondly, Sulochana Khushalrai, daughter of Chunilal Khushalrai, on 22 January 1891.1 He died on 3 March 1916 at age 51.1
He was a cotton manufacturer.1 He was an educational philanthropist.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.) in 1907.1 He was appointed Knight Bachelor in 1910.1 He succeeded as the 1st Baronet Ranchhodlal, of Shalpur, Ahmedabad, India [U.K.] on 6 February 1913. He was the first Hindu created a baronet.1 He lived at Shahpur House, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.1

Martha Ann Greenwood was the daughter of John Greenwood.2 She married Sir Prince Smith, 1st Bt., son of Prince Smith and Martha Edmondson, on 20 December 1864.1 She died on 1 December 1913.1

Sir Prince Prince-Smith, 2nd Bt. was born on 15 October 1869.1 He was the son of Sir Prince Smith, 1st Bt. and Martha Ann Greenwood.2 He married Maud Mary Wright, daughter of Henry Wright, on 14 November 1894.1 He died on 2 July 1940 at age 70.1
He was given the name of Prince Smith at birth.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Smith, of Hillbrook, Keighley, West Riding, co. Yorkshire [U.K., 1911] on 20 October 1922.1 On 28 October 1922 his name was legally changed to Prince Prince-Smith by deed poll.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Yorkshire in 1934.1
