Augustin Prevost was born on 14 June 1695.1 He was the son of Jean Louis Prevost.2 He married Louise Martine, daughter of Gideon Martine.1 He died on 24 January 1740 at age 44.1

Louise Martine was the daughter of Gideon Martine.2 She married Augustin Prevost, son of Jean Louis Prevost.1 She died in 1743.1

He settled in England.1 He purchased at Greenhill Grove estate, Hertfordshire, England.1 He gained the rank of officer in the 60th Royal America Regiment.1 He fought in the Battle of Fontenoy in 1745.1 He fought in the Battle of Quebec in 1759.1 He was in the Earl of Albermarle's Regiment of Horse Guards.1 He was General in command of the British forces in beating off the French at Siege of Savannah in 1779.1

Lt.-Gen. Jacques Prevost was born in December 1736.1 He was the son of Augustin Prevost and Louise Martine.2 He married Anne Louisa Mackay, daughter of Hugh Mackay, in March 1751.1
He was given the name of Jacques Prevost at birth.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-General in the British Forces.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the 60th Regiment.1 On 1 September 1775 his name was legally changed to Jacques Mackay by royal licence.1 Their descendants settled in Holland.1

Anne Louisa Mackay is the daughter of Hugh Mackay.1 She married Lt.-Gen. Jacques Prevost, son of Augustin Prevost and Louise Martine, in March 1751.1

Lt.-Col. Jacques Marc Prevost was the son of Augustin Prevost and Louise Martine.2 He married Theodosia Bartow, daughter of Theodosius Bartow.1 He died in 1794, having had issue.1

Theodosia Bartow is the daughter of Theodosius Bartow. She married, firstly, Lt.-Col. Jacques Marc Prevost, son of Augustin Prevost and Louise Martine.1 She married, secondly, Vice-President Aaron Burr in 1782.1
