David Vaughan Brims was born on 28 December 1910.1 He married Eve Georgina Mary Barrett, daughter of Lt.-Col. Rollo Samuel Barrett and Freda Ethel Louisa Wilson, in August 1927.1 He died on 13 August 1993 at age 82.1
He was educated at Uppingham School, Uppingham, England.2 He fought in the Second World War, where he became a POW at Oflag VIIB.2
