Sir Peter Platt, 2nd Bt. was born on 6 July 1924.1 He was the son of Robert Platt, Baron Platt and Margaret Irene Cannon.2 He married Jean Halliday Brentnall, daughter of Charles Philip Brentnall, on 21 December 1948.1 He died on 3 August 2000 at age 76.1
