     Sir Frederick Devereux Pile, 3rd Bt. was born on 10 December 1915.¹ He was the son of Sir Frederick Alfred Pile, 2nd Bt. and Vera Millicent Lloyd.² He married, firstly, Pamela Henstock, daughter of Philip Henstock, on 6 March 1940.¹ He married, secondly, Violet Josephine Andrews Cowper, daughter of Alfred Denys Cowper, on 7 April 1984.¹ He died on 1 November 2010 at age 94.³
     He was educated at Weymouth College, Weymouth, Dorset, England^G.¹ He graduated from Staff College, Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G, having also completed a course at the Joint Services Staff College.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Tank Regiment.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1945.¹ He fought in the Suez Crisis in 1956.¹ He served in the British Joint Services Mission between 1957 and 1960 at Washington, U.S.A.¹ He was a Commandant between 1960 and 1962 at Royal Armoured Corps Tank Driving and Maintenance School, Bovington, Dorset, England.¹ He was manager of the Vaux Associated Breweries between 1963 and 1965.¹ He was general secretary of the Soldiers Daughters' School between 1965 and 1971 at Hampstead, London, England.¹ He wrote the book Better Than Riches.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Pile, of Kenilworth House, Rathgar, co. Dublin [U.K., 1900] on 14 November 1976.¹ He lived at Beadles, Cowbeech, Sussex, England.¹

     Philip Henstock lived at Falkland Garth, Newbury, Berkshire, England.¹

     Pamela Henstock was the daughter of Philip Henstock.² She married Sir Frederick Devereux Pile, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Frederick Alfred Pile, 2nd Bt. and Vera Millicent Lloyd, on 6 March 1940.¹ She died on 19 August 1983.¹
     From 6 March 1940, her married name became Pile.¹

     David Alistair Pile was born on 20 February 1948.¹ He was the son of Sir Frederick Devereux Pile, 3rd Bt. and Pamela Henstock.² He died on 24 July 1948.¹

     Fiona Devereux Pile was born on 6 October 1941.¹ She is the daughter of Sir Frederick Devereux Pile, 3rd Bt. and Pamela Henstock.² She married Mark William Towse in 1976.¹
