Aedh 'Macaemh Tóinleasg', King of Cenel Eoghain was the son of Muircheartach 'Muighe Line', King of Ulster.2 He died in 1177, killed in battle against his successor Maelsechlainin Mac Lochlainin.1
He was heir to high-kingship of Ireland.1 Aedh 'Macaemh Tóinleasg', King of Cenel Eoghain also went by the nick-name of Aedh 'Macaemh Tóinleasg' (?) (or in English, ‘The Lazy-arsed Youth.1') In 1160 he killed his father's killer, restored O'Neill power.1 He gained the title of King of Cenel Eoghain in 1176.1 In 1176 he became supreme in the North of Ireland.1

Aedh 'Meth' O'Neill, King of Ulster is the son of Aedh 'Macaemh Tóinleasg', King of Cenel Eoghain.2 He married Beanmidhe (?), daughter of Ua Heignigh, King of Oriel.2
He gained the title of King of Cenel Eoghain.2 He gained the title of King of Ulster in 1196.2 Between 1196 and 1211 he defeatd the Anglo-Normans.2 In 1201 he was defeated by the Normans and temporarily deposed (resumed crown when his successor Conor Mac Lochlainn was killed.1 He was defeated by Cathal Carrach (‘The Scabby') O'Connor, King of Connaught.2

Muircheartach O'Neill was the son of Aedh 'Macaemh Tóinleasg', King of Cenel Eoghain.2 He died in 1202, killed by Mac Lochlainin.1

Niall 'Ruadh' O'Neill, King of Ulster is the son of Aedh 'Macaemh Tóinleasg', King of Cenel Eoghain.2 He married unknown daughter O'Conor, daughter of Cathal Crovedearg O'Conor, King of Connaught, in 1201.1
