Sir Michael O'Loghlen, 1st Bt. was born on 6 October 1789.1 He was the son of Colman O'Loghlen and Susannah Finucane.2 He married Bidelia Kelly, daughter of Daniel Kelly, on 3 September 1817.1 He died on 28 September 1842 at age 52.1
He was educated at Erasmus Smith School, Ennis, County Clare, Ireland.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, in 1809 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was a practising barrister in 1811.1 He was frequently junior counsel to Daniel O'Connell to whose practice he later largely succeeded.1 He was appointed King's Counsel (K.C.) in 1830.1 He held the office of Third Serjeant in 1831.1 He held the office of Bencher of King's Inns in 1832.1 He held the office of Solicitor-General [Ireland] between 1834 and 1835.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Dungarvan
in 1835.1 He held the office of Attorney-General [Ireland] in 1835.1 He held the office of Baron of the Exchequer [Ireland] in 1836.1 He held the office of Master of the Rolls in 1837.1 He was created 1st Baronet O'Loghlen, of Drumconora, Ennis, Co. Clare [U.K., 1838] on 16 July 1838.1

Bidelia Kelly is the daughter of Daniel Kelly.2 She married Sir Michael O'Loghlen, 1st Bt., son of Colman O'Loghlen and Susannah Finucane, on 3 September 1817.1

Sir Bryan O'Loghlen, 3rd Bt. was born on 27 June 1828.1 He is the son of Sir Michael O'Loghlen, 1st Bt. and Bidelia Kelly.2 He married Ella Seward, daughter of James Mackey Seward, on 17 September 1863.1 He died on 31 October 1905 at age 77.1
