     Sir Alexander Guthrie of Guthrie was the son of Sir David Guthrie and Janet Dundas.² He married Margaret Lyon, daughter of John Lyon, 3rd Lord Glamis and Elizabeth Scrymgeour.² He died on 9 September 1513 at Flodden Field, Northumberland, England, killed in action.²
     He obtained charters of the lands of Kincaldrum and the lands and barony of Lour.² He fought in the Battle of Flodden on 9 September 1513.¹
