General Connal O'Donnell was the son of Hugh O'Donnell, The O'Donnell and Flora Hamilton.2 He died in 1771 at Vienna, Austria, unmarried.1
He held the office of Governor of Transylvania.1 He gained the rank of General and Inspector-General of Cavalry in the Austrian Army.1 He fought in the Battle of Torgau in 1761.1 He was awarded the Grand Cross, Military Order of Maria Theresa in 1761 for gallantry.1
