     Rowland Henry Oakeley was born on 28 January 1909.¹ He was the son of Major Edward Francis Oakeley and Everilde Anne Beaumont.² He married Diana Margaret Hayward, daughter of John Arthur Hayward, on 28 August 1940.¹ He died on 24 October 2011 at age 102.³
     He was educated at Clifton College, Clifton, Bristol, England.¹ He graduated from New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1930 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was with the Malayan Civil Service between 1931 and 1958.¹ He was with the CRO between 1959 and 1965.¹ He was with the Diplomatic Service between 1966 and 1969.¹ He lived in 2003 at The Cottage, Broadmoor Farm, Little Wolford, Shipston on Stour, Warwickshire, England.¹

     John Arthur Hayward was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Surgeons (F.R.C.S.)¹ He was registered as a Licentiate, Royal College of Physicians, London (L.R.C.P.)¹ He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)¹

     Diana Margaret Hayward was the daughter of John Arthur Hayward.² She married Rowland Henry Oakeley, son of Major Edward Francis Oakeley and Everilde Anne Beaumont, on 28 August 1940.¹ She died in 2002.¹
     From 28 August 1940, her married name became Oakeley.

     Margaret Carson is the daughter of Gilbert Carson.² She married Christopher Rowland Oakeley, son of Rowland Henry Oakeley and Diana Margaret Hayward, on 19 February 1973.¹
