     William Edward Stirling Milliken-Napier was born on 2 May 1858.¹ He was the son of Sir Robert John Milliken-Napier of Merchistoun, 9th Bt. and Anne Salisbury Meliora Ladaveze Adlercron.² He married Janet Catherine Reid, daughter of W. M. Reid, on 12 April 1884.¹ He died on 25 September 1900 at age 42.¹

     Janet Catherine Reid was the daughter of W. M. Reid.² She married William Edward Stirling Milliken-Napier, son of Sir Robert John Milliken-Napier of Merchistoun, 9th Bt. and Anne Salisbury Meliora Ladaveze Adlercron, on 12 April 1884.¹ She died on 14 October 1945.¹
     From 12 April 1884, her married name became Milliken-Napier.

     Lt.-Col. William Edward Stirling Milliken-Napier was born on 24 May 1893 at St. Kitts and Nevis.^1,2 He was the son of William Edward Stirling Milliken-Napier and Janet Catherine Reid.³ He married Audrey Houlding, daughter of William Houlding, on 4 March 1919.¹ He died on 10 March 1983 at age 89.^1,2
     He gained the rank of Major in the Lothians and Border Horse.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)¹ He fought in the Second World War, where he became a POW.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Artillery (TA.)¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Peebles-shire in 1954.¹

     William Houlding lived at Arcachon, France.¹ He lived at Kerfield, Peebles-shire, Scotland.¹

     Audrey Houlding was the daughter of William Houlding.² She married Lt.-Col. William Edward Stirling Milliken-Napier, son of William Edward Stirling Milliken-Napier and Janet Catherine Reid, on 4 March 1919.¹ She died in 1986.¹
     From 4 March 1919, her married name became Milliken-Napier.

     William Ian Houlding Lennox Milliken-Napier was born on 5 November 1927.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. William Edward Stirling Milliken-Napier and Audrey Houlding.² He died in 1986 at Kenya.¹

     Elizabeth June Houlding Milliken-Napier was born on 13 June 1920.¹ She is the daughter of Lt.-Col. William Edward Stirling Milliken-Napier and Audrey Houlding.² She married Lt.-Col. Gerald Patrick Gardner-Brown, son of Professor John Gerald Gardner-Brownhad:, on 1 May 1947.¹
     Elizabeth June Houlding Milliken-Napier usually went by her middle name of June.¹ From 1 May 1947, her married name became Gardner-Brown. She lived in 2003 at Culcreuch Cottage, Milton Street, Bowral, New South Wales, Australia.¹

     Lt.-Col. Gerald Patrick Gardner-Brown was the son of Professor John Gerald Gardner-Brownhad.² He married Elizabeth June Houlding Milliken-Napier, daughter of Lt.-Col. William Edward Stirling Milliken-Napier and Audrey Houlding, on 1 May 1947.¹ He died in 1994.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Horse Artillery.¹
