     Janet Porteous married Walter Scott of Gamescleuch, son of Robert Scott of Thirlestane and Margaret Scott.¹
     Her married name became Scott.

     Patrick Scott of Tanlawhill was the son of Walter Scott of Gamescleuch and Janet Porteous.² He married Isabel Murray, daughter of Sir John Murray of Blackbarony and Margaret Wauchope.¹ He died on 21 June 1666.¹
     He lived at Thirlestane, Selkirkshire, Scotland^G.³

     Stephen le Scrope, Lord Scrope was born circa 1345.¹ He married Margery de Welles, daughter of John de Welles, 4th Lord Welles and Maud de Ros, before 16 December 1376.¹ He died on 25 January 1405/6.¹

     Margery de Welles was the daughter of John de Welles, 4th Lord Welles and Maud de Ros.¹ She married, firstly, John de Huntingfield.¹ She married, secondly, Stephen le Scrope, Lord Scrope before 16 December 1376.¹ She died on 29 May 1422.¹

     Baldwin de Redvers, 1st Earl of Devon gained the title of 1st Earl of Devon.

     George Wingfield was the son of William Wingfield and Anne Williamson.¹ He married Mary Sparrow. He died in 1774.¹
